Amanda + Flint | Downtown Engagement Session | State College, Pennsylvania

I think I fell in love with this couple the minute I met them. They are literally the definition of perfection and their love story is basically the cutest thing ever.  Amanda initially contacted me because they wanted to surprise their families with some fresh, new photos to display at their wedding. Which meant I had to keep their photos under wraps for a LONG TIME. It was killing me because I LOVED their session. They got married in September, I got crazy busy...and I never did share them! Timing is everything -- now I can blog their session! We decided to go for a more urban feel for their session. We started off downtown State College, in my favorite alley and moved up to the Old Main lawn. Things were going so well and we were running out of daylight so we almost skipped the outfit change. Once Amanda pulled out the blue dress, I decided we absolutely needed it and we went straight to the roof. It was cloudy and gloomy, a little windy, and EXACTLY what I had envisioned when going up there.  It became a new favorite location right then and there. I knew as I was editing their images that THIS is exactly what I'm going for with my work. There's so much real emotion there and they made it so easy to capture. Something shifted for me after this session.  I knew I wanted more of THAT.   Congratulations Amanda and Flint! I'm SO genuinely happy for these two and I cannot wait to see what life has in store for them!
